Counting Calories…Does it work?

Yes! I absolutely with out a doubt fully stand behind your bodies natural design to utilize food as fuel, daily living & creating a healthy happy life balance.
Your body was designed to operated off of a certain amount of calories with each passing day & with each activity!

Here is where I see the issues with counting calories.

IT IS NOT JUST A NUMBER!

Your body was designed to utilize each Macro-Nutrient a particular way. If you are feed yourself too much carbs or too much fats or too much protein then your body can not operate efficiently. Just like Transmission fluid in the oil tank or gas in the brake lines! Your body needs particular foods for particular functions. These functions include energy, brain function, muscle repair, immune system, digestion, healing ect…

I highly suggest educating yourself about

1. What are macro-nutrients: Proteins (animal & vegetable), Fats (good and bad), Complex Carbohydrates, Vegetables & Fruits

2. Which foods = which macro-nutrients: Proteins (animal & vegetable), Fats (good and bad), Complex Carbohydrates, Vegetables & Fruits

3. What your body uses each macro nutrient for: Energy, Healing, Rebuilding, Re-Fueling, Digesting Ect..

This is your body, your life, gain control through education! Do not let the world or media dictate what you know about your own body & what you feed it on a daily basis.

 

Are you POOPING?

I am often perplexed that some people do not make this correlation so why not talk about it! POOP has everything to do with your metabolism, how you feel, weight loss & even health. Often POOPING is a very shy subject, however reality is, it’s not only normal, it is very much so needed!! If you are having trouble pooping… Meaning if you do not poop daily or at least every other day, then you definitely need to pay your digestive system some attention asap.

Your body is designed to run, energize, fuel, heal & operate off of food. However it can not nor will it use everything you eat even if it is all healthy. Your body has to rid “waste” or foods that it isn’t using every time you eat. They say it takes up to 12 hours for the entire eat-to-waste process. So theoretically if you are going several days with out pooping, then your body is a walking time bomb waiting to explode. Literally. 

SOME REASONS TO GIVE YOUR POOP SOME ATTENTION

1. If your stomach and digestive system is not working properly your body can not adequately increase its metabolism! Meaning Lose Weight!

2. You will start to smell like POOP! If you are not eliminating you will start to smell like waste product from every place your body can eliminate from.

3. Not POOPING can make you very frustrated, irritated or even angry. You’d be surprised what you will feel like when you begin to fix your POOPING issue!

Small Steps to Weight Loss Success

Losing weight is nearly the most researched topic on the internet today & probably the one with the most amount of information. Ugh How frustrating is that! What diet works best for me? Why do I fail every time I try to diet? I know what to do I just need accountability!

Well Here is my Tidbit on Weight Loss Today!

Start with One Change Each Week. Pick a Day. Monday, Friday, Sunday. It doesn’t matter. However this will be your DAY every week! You have to keep a few things in mind. Your “DAY” can not and will not change. Once you set your day that’s it. The next important factor is whatever you choose you have to be committed! Meaning You only have to change one thing per week. DO NOT PICK THE HARDEST THING FIRST! If you are a sweetaholic, carbaholic, breadaholic or what have you do not make this your first change. My suggestion is to choose something like this:

1. I will eat 2 Eggs and 1 slice of Toast Every Day this week for breakfast.

2. I will Take a Bottle of Water with me & fill it up 3 times per day.

3. I will go to bed by 10pm every night.

4. I will stretch for 15 minutes every morning with no exception

5. I will Drink an 8oz glass of water with every meal.

6. I will Bring Fruit to snack on every day this week

7. I will not eat candy all week, instead I will eat grapes
