Do you hear me today…sweet child, sweet daughter of mine? I came to comfort you in your dreams last night…you know… after the prayer, you whispered before drifting off. I am not sure if you recognize my presence. I smile at the thought of you saying yes. I close my eyes and catch a glimpse of your smile in days to come. I will sit… and wait…Oh if you could only see what I see, who I see. You are such an amazing woman. I knitted you together, every cell, every detail. I also know what makes you smile, I know what causes your eyes to change colors and your heart to sing. I know where to touch your spirit to release buried tears. I know the dark places you have been. It is okay my love. Although I was there, I didn’t see what you hoped I wouldn’t, I only saw your spirit crying. I longed to comfort you there. I know you heard me. I tried to understand when you turned your ear away, although I haven’t grasped why you will not trust me… I will wait. I love you and I will call you every day…until you reach my arms & find comfort in my embrace. I will be right here…I will wait.

Grab the Greater Calling-Part 1
We are called to Greater Things! Yes, you have been called to his purpose. No question about it. Are you hesitant with this statement? Are you unsure that you have a GREATER call on your life? I am here to encourage you to position yourself to stand in God’s Truth because it is yours.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father…you may ask for anything in my name and I will do it! John 14:12,14
“I feel so empty Lord. I serve you, I pray, I walk out my faith. What am I missing?” If these thoughts have traveled the surface of your mind, you are not alone. Of course you have a great calling. That is God whispering into your heart that He has more for you. We live in such a fast paced world with a constant push for more that even God’s fulfillment seems fall short. You will not fall short of your calling & you are not missing anything because you can not hear what His exact plan is right now. What we fail to see is the plan is what is is right now! Look around you, what can God be waiting for you to see that is directly in front of you? Perhaps He is giving you the time to have a deeper relationship with your husband or children. Perhaps He is teaching you things through the stories of friends and family. We miss so much of the small yet vastly important parts of life searching for the bigger calling. I am a very excited yet impatient person. I yearn for new adventures & challenges. I felt God asking me to slow down. When I had downtime at work I felt Him say “Your Welcome”. I was confused at first. How can not having business equal a “Your Welcome”. However I felt God’s peace and I chose to rest in it. I chose to not be concerned with tomorrow. I chose to stand in His promise that all of our needs would be met. I began to ask God to reveal what He would like me to do with this sudden gift of time during the day. He answered “Your Children”. Isn’t God so good? John and I have prayed for years that we could be blessed with a career & life plan that would allow us to spend more time together as a family. I desired to be around more, to love on them, talk with them, help them read & do homework. For years we would get home just in time for them to be nodding off while trying to read them a book if they weren’t already asleep. How amazing is my Father. I knew right then that His plan was surely better than my plan. I vowed to seek him in all the time he gave me. I decided to quit being lead by the business world, business success books, how to’s articles & completely commit to His Word, His Guidance & His Business Plan.
My Desire for you today is to Go deeper with your believing this truth. I have outlined a few things that can encourage a deeper relationship with your Father. In this, I know you will begin to see the Greater Calling he has on your life by His revelation, His voice & His guidance.
#1 Get to know God deeper than ever. Your relationship with God comes from knowing His Word. Dive into God’s word and ask him to reveal who he is to you. The bible is living & when you pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you in His word, He will! Heavenly Father I pray you release your Word in living time, in living minutes as your daughter get’s to know you in Jesus Name.
When I began diving into his word, I began reading a chapter in Proverbs like many women suggested, followed by the book of Matthew so I could learn about Jesus. My sister-in-law found it helpful to utilize a bible that had a topical index search. She would use one of the thoughts she woke up with and formulate a question. She then used the topical index search and wrote down scriptures that related to that topic.
#2 Desire His Heart. God is merciful, wonderful, glorious, love, understanding, forgiving & so much more. When you desire to see these things you are desiring God’s Heart! Do not deny yourself the Heart of God, he has freely given it to you and all undeserving children!! He created you to feel and live these wonders! Do not allow the enemy to steal YOUR inheritance. God did not nor will he ever say you have to do anything to deserve His heart. You have it! I pray and declare the enemies lies to you silenced in Jesus Name! Declare over your life and your heart and your home God’s Glory, Love & Forgiveness in Jesus Name!
One of the greatest moments in my life was when I declared God’s Heart over every aspect of Me. My focus was anything that was not associated with who God was, I canceled ties, thoughts & chains to things like Insecurity, depression, sadness, anger, even words like worthless & ugly, or phrases like “not good enough”, “not talented enough”, “not deserving” etc. IN JESUS NAME! Then I had to commit to the constant fight. I do not believe it ever stops. I do believe that it gets easier and you will declare these things with more confidence each time they come up.
#3 Desire relationship with your God. God is not only your Creator, but He is your Father. He is your Husband. He is your Encourager. He is your Coach! He is you Biggest Fan! You just have to let Him in!
Here is what I did & I encourage you to give it a try.
- Talk to God out loud like he is face to face with you.
- Let him know you love him and believe he is there for you & has not forgotten you.
- Ask him to begin to reveal in your heart that He is omnipresent. Ask him to teach you about his Holy Spirit.
- Begin to Thank him for what he has done for you. Especially when start to feel down or discouraged. I believe this is one of God’s secret ways into your heart.
I started waking up and before my feet hit the floor I said Good Morning my Father! Good Morning Holy Spirit! Thank you for this amazing Day. I love you! I am excited to engage in another day with you! Is there anything that I should pray about before I begin my day God? Reveal to me anyone I can engage in a prayer fight for their heart & their life! How can I focus on you today? What can I do for my Family that will reveal your love & your spirit to them?
Then I grab my notebook and I write down everything that is in my heart whether it is prayer, scripture, dreams I had, questions or even hopes and desires.
I pray you are encouraged to dive deeper into your relationship with God. I pray that you not only find out new things about your Father but that you embrace what He has to teach you about yourself. You are beautiful & wonderfully made! I pray you receive your Greater Calling in Jesus Name.
Never Satisfied
Women consume their lives with time and energy used to fulfill gaps and gapes of emptiness, constant questioning and searching for answers to the desolate places in the life and barren existence of who they are. – Heather Blatz
Have you ever felt the newness of a challenge in life? Perhaps a new job, buying a home or a home remodel project, maybe you were challenged with a new craft from Pinterest or perhaps you are buying a new car. We get so excited and energized, even renewed in newness…for a moment.
When the newness wears off where do we find ourselves? The answer is unanimous and not difficult, it is called “Seeking”. Constant seeking stems from our notion of needing incessant stimulation.
Why do you think we need perpetual excitement?
Why are we always searching for fulfillment?
A better question is why are we not fulfilled?
Fulfillment is defined as satisfaction or happiness as a result of fully developing one’s abilities or character. This is interesting because when we are searching to be fulfilled we are not usually searching inward.
My desire for you in this passage today is for you to begin seeking fulfillment in the right places. We understand that our constant desire for excitement stems from a place that is empty. You are a Daughter of God; designed with a unique character and an internal aspiration! If you agree, say YES!
If you find yourself relating to this post, here are a few steps to reversing the focus of your internal void.
- PRAY FOR REVELATION “God help reveal what I am seeking in life that is not in line with your pleasure & helps me see where I can seek you more”
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deut 4:29
2. DECLARE THANKSGIVING: When you start to desire more or new things, declare thanksgiving over what you have. Thanksgiving will fight the attacks of the enemy in this area.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thes 5:18
Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Eph 5:20
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Phil 4:6
FIGHT THE ATTACKS OF THE ENEMY…
For everything in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–comes not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:16
3. BEGIN TO SERVE OTHERS. I would challenge you to choose one service that comes to mind when you read these scriptures. You may have several ideas, but choose one and write the others in a notebook. Focus on this one service to the best of your abilities in prayer and perseverance.
In all things, I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35
When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. John 13:12-14
Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. Prov 11:25
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for this time of worship and desire to press into you. Lord, we pray for revelation in knowing who we were created as your daughters and in your image. We thank you for the desire to push self aside in order for your word & heart to manifest in and through us. I pray your holy spirit burn the root of your word in each Woman’s life reading and applying this blog. We love you and honor you, heavenly father! In Jesus Name Amen!
When you Know He’s Real
The world is such a confusing place you know? Especially when you are trying to find who you really are. We have the known and we have the unknown. We spend most of our time trying to figure out the unknown using the knowledge we have. Doesn’t really make sense, does it? What we know is what we have seen, heard or experienced. If we don’t know or understand something we utilize expert resources or other opinions to determine what answer we are comfortable with believing. So now what we know is not actually what we know, it is what we have chosen to believe given the time and circumstances.
Just a few months past my salvation at the age of 26, I decided I knew nothing and I didn’t have much belief in anything or anyone except that Jesus was real & He was with me. I found myself without words when people asked questions about my new found faith. This was definitely out of the norm. Early on I had taught myself that even if I didn’t know the answer I could talk enough to convince others that I knew exactly what I was doing. This time normal response of rambling in quick defense turned into a peaceful smile. A smile that either people were confused by, or some just determined I was hiding confusion and of course, some knew exactly where my faith had me. Finding the peace of God does not need to be explained. It does not need to have a definition or a list of explanations. The Peace of God does exactly what His word says it does and that is… Surpasses all Understanding (Phil 4:7).
Surpassing all Understanding was not the way I was raised nor was it the way my college professors taught me to accept. Getting to know God’s way of life was very different and definitely a process. At this point in my life, I knew that my way had failed, I had broken trust, burnt relationships & truly disappointed my own self as floods of my decisions & consequences weighed on my heart & drastically on everyone around me. There I was carrying a life I created out of the knowledge I had gained, the values (or lack thereof) I based my decisions on bursting into tears with no warning…for weeks! With makeup smeared, nose running, not able to explain why I was crying so hard when it had been almost 6 years since I even shed a tear, I found myself with hands raised & admittance that I wasn’t going to be the author of my life anymore. There were many things I did not understand and I was still facing consequences of my previous actions but God began to guide me. and encourage me to stand. God gave me Peace in these moments as I accepted his Grace and Mercy. I began to replace knowledge and feelings with Faith & Acceptance. I finally understood that God knew more than I did! God had said something to me a few weeks prior that will be branded on my Heart forever and changed the course of my life. These are the words God whispered to me as He Embraced the broken Woman I was
“Heather, My Daughter, I created you for something amazing, for something more than you can even imagine. It is time for you to discover My Daughter, My Creation, My Child. You are beautiful & wonderfully made. Will you let me raise you as My Daughter? Will you allow yourself to see what I see? I think now is a good time.”
This day, with these words & my spirit, uplifted, and my heart filled with Love I had Peace.
I pray tonight as I write this that these words find you in a place to receive His Grace. This is God’s desire for you. To hear His voice. To begin to see yourself the way God sees you. To allow Him to take you back to childhood & instill His values, life lessons & true Fatherly Love. What do you say? Are you ready to see the Woman in the mirror He created? If you are I invite you to pray this prayer:
“Dear Heavenly Father, I am amazed by your Goodness. Thank you for bringing me to a place where my heart is open to receive your Love. I am ready to see myself the way you see me. Enlighten my heart with your Love & thoughts of me. My heart is open to receive your mercy & grace. Please give me the strength to fight the thoughts the enemy has tormented me with. I will not believe another word of it In Jesus Name! I am Your Daughter, Beautiful & Wonderfully Made! I declare & stand in agreement with these words in Jesus precious name! Amen!”
