Women consume their lives with time and energy used to fulfill gaps and gapes of emptiness, constant questioning and searching for answers to the desolate places in the life and barren existence of who they are. – Heather Blatz
Have you ever felt the newness of a challenge in life? Perhaps a new job, buying a home or a home remodel project, maybe you were challenged with a new craft from Pinterest or perhaps you are buying a new car. We get so excited and energized, even renewed in newness…for a moment.
When the newness wears off where do we find ourselves? The answer is unanimous and not difficult, it is called “Seeking”. Constant seeking stems from our notion of needing incessant stimulation.
Why do you think we need perpetual excitement?
Why are we always searching for fulfillment?
A better question is why are we not fulfilled?
Fulfillment is defined as satisfaction or happiness as a result of fully developing one’s abilities or character. This is interesting because when we are searching to be fulfilled we are not usually searching inward.
My desire for you in this passage today is for you to begin seeking fulfillment in the right places. We understand that our constant desire for excitement stems from a place that is empty. You are a Daughter of God; designed with a unique character and an internal aspiration! If you agree, say YES!
If you find yourself relating to this post, here are a few steps to reversing the focus of your internal void.
- PRAY FOR REVELATION “God help reveal what I am seeking in life that is not in line with your pleasure & helps me see where I can seek you more”
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deut 4:29
2. DECLARE THANKSGIVING: When you start to desire more or new things, declare thanksgiving over what you have. Thanksgiving will fight the attacks of the enemy in this area.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thes 5:18
Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Eph 5:20
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Phil 4:6
FIGHT THE ATTACKS OF THE ENEMY…
For everything in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–comes not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:16
3. BEGIN TO SERVE OTHERS. I would challenge you to choose one service that comes to mind when you read these scriptures. You may have several ideas, but choose one and write the others in a notebook. Focus on this one service to the best of your abilities in prayer and perseverance.
In all things, I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35
When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. John 13:12-14
Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. Prov 11:25
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for this time of worship and desire to press into you. Lord, we pray for revelation in knowing who we were created as your daughters and in your image. We thank you for the desire to push self aside in order for your word & heart to manifest in and through us. I pray your holy spirit burn the root of your word in each Woman’s life reading and applying this blog. We love you and honor you, heavenly father! In Jesus Name Amen!
